EMAILER MESSAGES – MAY 19, 2018

NAMES DROPPING OFF MY EMAIL LIST AND MESSAGES BEING POSTED IMMEDIATELY

Every Saturday I send out an email directing you to my website. If you don’t receive this email then you probably are no longer on my list.

Before sending me an email asking to be put on the Emailer list, check your JUNK mail because if my email address isn’t recognized, my messages will go there.  Also, please add my email address to your address book.   rpost@monmouth.com

If you are not receving my Saturday emails, send me an email. When I review my records about 90% of deleted emails are due to UNSUBSCRIBING.  GoDaddy even tells me when this happens.  I NEVER unsubscribe a resident unless a resident asks me to do it.  Just be careful not to click on something that would cause this to happen.

You may notice that at the end of each message I now include the date that the message would be taken off of my website. I usually keep messages for selling items on for about 2 weeks.  Otherwise the message will stay until the event takes place.

For the last month I have been doing things differently. When a message is received by me I immediately add it to my website.  I don’t wait until Saturday and then add all the messages received during the week.  So make a few trips to my website even before Saturday, to check out new messages.  I find this much easier to do it this way.  My website URL is www.regencyemailer.com

HEALTH AIDE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT

Our longtime friend and former aide to my mother, who recently passed, is available for work.  Her name is Lali.  She currently lives with us at Regency and took care of my mom in our home for 4 years.  I believe this was a major factor that my mom lived to the ripe old age of 102. Lali was invaluable to us in the caretaking of my mom with her daily grooming, bathroom needs, and all other healthcare needs.  She is extremely capable, trustworthy, kind and loving.  She took care of us all.

If you require the assistance of someone like Lali or know of someone, preferably at Regency, who needs the same type of care, please contact Barbara Cholewa at (732) 589- 4974 or at techbuddybarb@aol.com

SUPPORT THE WALK FOR KIDNEY DISEASE

This November, I will be stepping out to support people with kidney disease at the 2018 Kidney Walk in New York City. As many of you know, this cause is very important to me.
This month will be the second anniversary of my son Paul’s kidney transplant, and the second anniversary of my wife Caryl’s kidney donation.   Today, I am asking you to support my fundraising efforts with a donation in honor of Paul’s transplant and my wonderful wife.
Kidney Walks are a vital source of support to transplant recipients and donors. Thanks to our donations, the National Kidney Foundation is able to advocate in Washington, D.C., to reduce transplant waiting times. They played an instrumental in introducing the Living Donor Protection Act that aims to end many forms of insurance discrimination facing living donors and extend job security.
Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of the 30 million living with kidney disease. Visit my personal page link at the bottom of this email and go to my personal fundraising page. Once there, click ‘Donate’.
As you help me celebrate their anniversary, let’s keep those anniversaries happening for others with kidney transplants. This means so much to my family and I.
Thank you for your support,
Ira Cohen

I have an almost new foosball game that costs almost $500. I’m asking $200 for it.  Contact (732-521-9461).

EMAILER’S NOTE:   If you are wondering what a Foosball table is (I had no clue), here is the answer.    Foosball is a table game where people on both sides of the game turn rods with players attached to the rods. They spin around and try to kick a small plastic ball into the goal. I guess it’s a bit more like soccer. It’s a very sturdy unit

We invite any Regency resident who wants to participate in this show and who can sing, or sing and can play an instrument or play an instrument only to contact us for more information.  If you sing only, no problem we have musicians who can accompany you.  The Culture Club will set up an organizational meeting within the next  few weeks.
