SORRY ABOUT LAST 3 NAMES BEING OUT OF DATE ORDER
THANK YOU REGENCY
I have received many emails congratulating Arthur and I for our new EMAILER WEBSITE. For me, without Arthur, emailing might have stopped.
Many have asked if they can help in reimbursing my costs for doing emailing. The answer is THANK YOU BUT NO. I find it amazing that my Emailing is now 15 years old. I wish I was that old.
Greta and I love Regency. Your emails to us especially during the time period when Greta was having her kidney problems, certainly proved that we owe this community a lot more than what it costs me to do the emailing. You would be happy to know that with the transfer of my domain from Startlogic to GoDaddy, I took out a 3 year contract and I just upgraded my package because there are things that I want to do which Regency might enjoy. So you are stuck with me for at least 3 years.
WHAT’S NEW ON MY WEBSITE
Well, it is now up and running – my slideshow. Just click on the arrow in the center of the picture to see the most BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS and of course it is set to music. Thank you Arthur.
When you go to my website (www.regencyemailer.com) and just under REGENCY EMAILER go to the right and you would see RON’S MUSIC. I am in the process of uploading more than 1000 songs of the 50’s and 60’s. Just click on RON’S MUSIC and next to the time you can scroll down to play any song you want.
We have also added REGENCY FACES. How many times has someone said, “if Ron Post walked in front of me I would have no idea who he is. So, knowing a persons name you can now (give me about 1 month) view pictures of residents. If you never submitted a picture to me, please do (JPG) and it will be uploaded.
I am also back at putting on the current month’s Birthday and Anniversary list. I’m starting with June and if you aren’t listed in June, send me an email. However, it will not appear on this list until next June. The full list of Birthday’s and Anniversary’s is on the line just below REGENCY EMAILER. Look at it before your birthday or anniversary arrives and I will make the changes so that it will appear in the monthly listing.
By the way, the VENDOR LIST is no longer vertical, where you had to turn your head sideways to view it. It is now horizontal. My thanks to Rich Strug again for providing us with a fantastic list of vendors.
Yes, there are more surprises with my website and I hope you enjoy it all. This is getting to be a full time job plus weekends.
VENDOR SPECIALS
Because of the installation of my website I was unable to put Rich Strug’s special discount list on my emails each week for May and June when the Vendors were offering discounts. Rich has asked each Vendor if they would allow the specials to run through the end of July. So here is the link and if you want the special, call the vendor and just tell them about the problem we had and that Rich and I have requested the specials run through July.

Senior Versus Senior Competition 2017
A few years ago, Joe Isola, Chairman of the Monroe Receation Advisory Board, had a great idea for an joint activity for community senior citizens and high school seniors. Subsequently Norm Olinsky, Senior Liason, Jay Brown, and Al Carpenito, Monroe Recreation Department, implemented a friendly competition between teams of high school seniors from the Monroe Twp High School and senior residents from Monroe Twp adult communities. The competition has since become very popular and a much anticipated annual event. The high school senior participants, who are leaders in the classroom and on playing fields, volunteer to participate in the program.
On May 23, the fourth annual Senior Versus Senior Competition, sponsored by the Monroe Recreation Department, was held in four sports – bocce, bowling, pickleball, and shuffleboard. This is the third year that Regency bowlers participated in the bowling competition at the Knob Hill Country Lanes. There were eight four-person teams – 16 high school seniors and 16 senior citizens.. Each team consisted of two high school seniors and two senior residents. The high school seniors were bussed to their respective venues. Some of the high school seniors, who were assigned bowling this year, never bowled before. The senior residents are selected by the community captains of that sport. While it was competitive, the main goal of the events was to have some bigenerational fun. This year’s bowling competition more than met the goal.
Because of a shortage of lanes this year at Knob Hill Country Lanes, only one game was bowled this year instead of the usual two, The bowling team with the best score won the bowling portion of the competition. The scores from the bowling competition were then added to the scores of other three sports to determine the overall winning team from the eight competing teams. This year’s winner was Team 3. Members of Team 3 in the four sports received medals. The Regency bowlers Bill Andruzzi, Ping Eng, Neil Sohmer, and Mark Spinner had a wonderful time bowling with a terrific group of high school seniors – Zaafira Hasan, Gabriella Pacheco, Jamie Roth, and Caroline Waksmunski.
Afterwards Monroe Recreation Department sponsored a luncheon at the Monroe Community Center, which included several feet of subs, over a dozen pizzas, and several trays of meatball marinara, for all the seniors to enjoy.

AN UPDATE FROM MARK KLEIN REGARDING STATE AID FOR SCHOOLS AND ELECTIONS
Ileana is running against Linda Greenstein for State Senate. Greenstein, Benson and DeAngelo have done nothing to help our district get our proper funding for over 10 years, IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE. We must vote for Ileana Schirmer, Kristian Stout and Steve Uccio.
By the way the petition drive and the rallies suggested by Greenstein accomplished nothing and it also looks like our Bd of Ed will not file a lawsuit, we should be receiving at least $40 million in State aid to our school district and not $3 million. Freehold Boro with 1,700 students who presently receives $9.7 million from the State and just received $33 million from the State to expand all their schools, is going to sue the State for an additional $27 million in yearly State Aid to their School District. Why aren’t we suing???? We need to get representation from each Community to attend the next School Board meeting to force a lawsuit. I will get the date.
Never give up.
Mark

MESSAGE FROM RESIDENT REGARDING ALARM RELAY
Just a “heads up” to let you know that Alarm Relay does not give refunds if you cancel their monitoring service and have paid in advance. Evidently it is written in their contract (probably in fine print!). It doesn’t matter what your reason is for cancellation; they will not give you refund.
MONROE PARKE DEVELOPMENT
A resident sent me the following information. Things certainly changed from what was originally told to us.
Ron
MONROE PARKE DEVELOPMENT – IT CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL PLANS
I just visited the sales office of Monroe Parke #1 and spoke with the saleswoman, and lot of the information she provided, seems to be different from what I remember in the original plans by JSM.
She now states:
1. The stores and rental apartments will now be across Spotswood Englishtown Road on the SW corner nearest Regency. Commercial was to be across from the Stone Museum. In fact if I recall, this property was to be for one business like a Walgreens and parking.
2. Townhouses originally were to be on the Southern side of the horse farm toward 522 on Spotswood Englishtown Road, now they are on Mount Mills and Spotswood Englishtown Road
3. We were told about one year ago that part of the final approval was 10% of the units were for Seniors, which would count toward our Affordable Housing Obligation. She knew nothing about Senior units.
4. We were also told that they could not build, sell or rent units until a certain percentage of the Commercial segment was built and rented. I see no commercial building going on, but they are building and selling the Townhouses and Condos.
5. Lastly it was to be built by Edgeboro Properties, JSM Jack Morris. Now we find out that Lennar is doing the building on behalf of Jack Morris. The Saleslady also said that Lennar will be building the Perrineville Development, WHY, WHAT HAPPENED.
