 FUNNY STORY’S

As mentioned in last week’s email if you have had something funny happen, let me know and I will put it into one of my emails.

Here is a story from one of our residents:

Many years ago, probably about 1971 or so, a friend of mine was moving to another state with the company he worked for and several of us wanted to take him out on the town as a farewell party. We decided to meet at Rodney Dangerfield’s nightclub and go on from there.

When I arrived at the nightclub I saw that it was dimly lit and that the waiters were still setting the tables, so I walked back outside to wait for the arrival of my friends. I was soon followed out by Rodney himself who told me that the nightclub wasn’t open yet and asked me if I knew who he was. I assured him that I not only recognized him but had seen him on television many times. He then asked me which of his comedy bits I liked the best and proceeded to put on a private show for me on the sidewalk in front of his nightclub. This private performance lasted for about 20 minutes until one of the club’s performers came by and Rodney had to go inside.

My group of friends finally showed up and we really had a great time that night, but nothing will ever compare to that show Rodney Dangerfield put on for me that night.

(EMAILER’S NOTE:   RODNEY, IF YOU ARE READING THIS EMAIL FROM UP ABOVE, YOUR COMMENT, “I DON’T GET NO RESPECT” WELL, OUR RESIDENT GIVES YOU THE RESPECT YOU DESERVE)

ANOTHER SCAM – SENT TO ME BY A RESIDENT

We received a call today that the caller ID showed as PSEG COMP, it was an 800 number. They said we were 2 months behind in our payments. I knew this was a scam and told the caller so and he hung up on me.

The next meeting of the Regency Digital Photography Club will be Thursday, December 7 at 4:00 PM in the Tennis Pavilion.

The topic is something everyone who holds a camera will be interested in. There will be information to help beginners as well as advanced photographers who are looking for that captivating image.  We will be discussing how to take better pictures on your vacation.  There will be general “words of wisdom”, thoughts from on-line articles as well as a video.  Get some value out of your afternoon.

Also, a photo assignment, which the meeting talk might help, will be outlined for those interested that will be homework during our “snow bird” hiatus during January, February and March. All residents are invited.  Any questions call Howard Wichansky.
