OUR SINCERE CONDOLENCES ARE EXTENDED TO LINDA OPPERMAN  ON THE PASSING OF HER MOTHER KATE HABERMAN

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that Linda Opperman’s Mother, Kate Haberman, passed away this morning.  She was 96 years old. 

Kate was a holocaust survivor.  A few years ago, she was interviewed by the Kupferberg Holocaust Center at Queensborough Community College.  She was an incredibly strong woman.  Listening to her story is both sobering and inspiring.  A link to the interview for those who might wish to learn more about this chapter in our history is included below:

A private funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 21st.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Linda and Sheldon Opperman at
34 Riviera Drive on Sunday, April 21^st from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and from
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  The Sunday evening minyan will begin promptly at 7:30PM.  

Because the Passover Holiday will begin at sundown on Monday, Shiva will be observed on Monday, April 22^nd from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Your support during this time of mourning is deeply appreciated.

MS Walk 2024 

Time to join our Regency team Bright Future at the MS Walk on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Manalapan at the Monmouth Battlefield State Park.  We will be gathering at the team sign at 9:30 a.m. for our picture.  Arrive earlier so you can hand in your donation or you can drop off a contribution in the mail box of Howard and Shelly Wichansky or Dan and Bibi Levine if you can’t make the walk.  Make checks payable to the National MS Society with our team indicated on the check.  You can register on-line at www.nationalMSsociety.org/njm. The park is a beautiful place to enjoy the beginning of spring and you will be supporting a great cause.  Please, many of you have given before, and many thanks; however, the work is not done until we can reverse the disability caused by the disease and find a cure.

Vietnamese cuisine is a delightful fusion of
flavors and textures that are sure to tantalize your
taste buds. From the aromatic herbs and spices to the refreshing balance of sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy flavors, which relate to the Buddhist-inspired five-element philosophy of earth, wood, fire, water, and metal, respectively.

The Regency EREA will arrange for a culinary
introduction to Vietnamese cuisine at a local
restaurant on Saturday,June 1st , at 6PM.
Prepare to embark on a culinary journey filled with
bold flavors and vibrant dishes that will leave you
craving more of this delicious and exciting cuisine.
We have arranged a menu with samples of four
different appetizers, a popular pho (pronounced
FUH), the national dish of Vietnam. This will be
followed by dessert. The restaurant is BYOB with a
limited amount of seating. The cost for the dinner is
$38 per person, $76 per couple which includes tax and tip.

The Regency EREA is open to all regency
residents, singles and couples; there are no dues and you are not committed to any dinner except those you wish to participate in. Restaurants have limited seating so we are first come, first served, as always. For additional information please call me.
