MARK KLEIN EMAIL RE: FAIR STATE EDUCATION FUNDING
Read the attachment and pass on this letter to our State Representatives, to all your residents!
Well, another example of additional State Department of Education aid for expanding schools, like the $33 million grant given to Freehold Boro with only 1,700 students mostly children of illegal immigrants as stated by Commissioner Hespe and already receiving $9.7 million in state education aid. Middlesex Boro already receives $8.9 million in state education aid and now will receive 20% of the cost of the expansions from the state. How much will Monroe Twp. receive for the expansions and new schools?
What have you our representatives done during the last 8 plus years for the well underfunded Monroe Twp. school district? Nothing but lip service!!!! With the additional $512,000, we will receive about $2.8 million for over 6,500 students and growing, yet our school budget grows by over $3 million a year, so we lose again.
Now we have to build a new Middle School, a new Elementary School, large expansion on our 6 year old High School and probably will have to expand Oaktree School. Where is our aid, the overcrowding was caused by the State forcing the overbuilding based on Affordable Housing Regulations passed by our legislature, that were only for the benefit of the large developers. Remember only one in 5 units must be affordable the rest at full market rate.
If the elected officials in New Jersey really wanted more affordable housing, JUST CHANGE THE WAY SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE FINANCED, over 65% of our property taxes are to support our school district.
Why isn’t the Monroe Twp. Bd of ED going to file a lawsuit against the state for more funding, as other smaller districts are doing, to include Freehold Boro reportedly asking for an additional $27 million.
Senator Greenstein and Assemblyman Benson & DeAngelo have done nothing for us. Remember in November !!!!!

DID ANYONE FIND AN OUTDOOR CUSHION SUPPORT FRAME WITH GREEN WEBBING?
We are missing a tubular aluminum cushion support frame with green webbing from our wicker sofa that was on the patio. Measure roughly 44″ by 24″. Fairly light construction.
Assume it is down in section 1.

CHECK FOR TREE DISEASE – RESIDENTS MESSAGE
I had a representative from Bartlett tree service come to my home to inspect my flowering pear trees
The leaves are covered with brown spots
He told me that this is a new disease this year and if sprayed early will not come back next year.
He is going to spray and feed these trees
The disease will not kill the trees but you may loose leaves early!
Please tell homeowners not to panic
I know that one homeowner had a mature tree removed from her front lawn
Hope this is helpful
I think Bartlett tree service is a preferred vendor
If not , call Patrick LePore at 201.400.8808 and tell him you are from Regency
