HOA EMAILER & MAILCHIMP

On Saturday’s I send you two notices about my publishing my email.  My emails come from both lists because occasionally a resident will “fall off” one of these lists.

If you only receive one notice, let me know which one you received so that I can add you to the other list.

Thanks

Trenton $116M Central High School with swimming pool is under construction

A MESSAGE FROM MARK KLEIN:
WELL, WELL, WELL TRENTON GETS A NEW HIGH SCHOOL WITH A SWIMMING POOL, PAID TOTALLY BY THE SDA (SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AUTHORITY). WHY ISN’T THE SDA INVOLVED IN THE BUILDING OF OUR TWO NEW SCHOOLS AS WELL AS EXPANDING OUR HIGH SCHOOL IN MONROE TWP.
TRENTON CITY ALREADY WILL RECEIVE $229 MILLION IN REG STATE EDUCATION AID AND NOW A NEW SCHOOL PAID FOR BY THE STATE. PERTH AMBOY IS ALSO GETTING A NEW HIGH SCHOOL PAID TOTALLY BY THE STATE.
I HAVE WRITTEN BEFORE ABOUT FREEHOLD BORO, WITH $1,700 STUDENTS AND WILL BE RECEIVING $9.7 MILLION IN REG. EDUCATION STATE AID AND JUST GOT A RAISE OF $1.070 MILLION IN ADDITIONAL AID PLUS $33 MILLION IN ADDITIONAL STATE AID TO EXPAND ALL THEIR SCHOOLS.
MONROE TWP WITH 6,500 STUDENTS 1,000 OVER CAPACITY WILL ONLY RECEIVE AN INCREASE OF $512,000 FOR A TOTAL OF $2.8 MILLION IN REG. STATE EDUCATION AID! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE SENATOR GREENSTEIN AND ASSEMBLYMEN BENSON & DEANGELO? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE THE LAST 8 YEARS TO HELP MONROE TOWNSHIP AND ALL IT’S RESIDENTS? NOTHING BUT TWO PHONY FARCES. THE 2013 HEARING AT THE STATE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE AND THIS YEAR THE PETITION DRIVE AND RALLIES. OUR BUDGET GROWS BY OVER $3 MILLION A YEAR AND WE ONLY GOT $512,000 THAT IS PATHETIC. SENATE PRESIDENT SWEENEY HAD TOLD ME OVER A YEAR AGO THAT HE WOULD TRY TO GET US 42 TO$3 MILLION IN ADDITIONAL AID, NO WHERE ENOUGH, AS I TOLD HIM AT THE TIME. STATE SENATOR GREENSTEIN SPOKE AT A BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING THAT SHE WOULD TRY TO GET US OUR FULL STATE FORMULA FUNDING $9 MILLION ( another $6 million) OR ONE MILLION MORE PER YEAR FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS ( for a total of $8 million) ON A $131 MILLION SCHOOL BUDGET, THAT IS PATHETIC!!! THE LEGISLATURE COULD HAVE RE-DRAWN THE SCHOOL FUNDING FORMULA WHICH WAS FLAWED FROM DAY ONE, BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT IT SINCE ITS INCEPTION UNDER GOVERNOR CORZINE IN 2008.  (SOURCE FROM THE 101.5 NEWS LETTER)
WE WANT ANSWERS NOW OR GREENSTEIN, BENSON AND DEANGELO SHOULD LOOK FOR REAL JOBS AFTER THE NOVEMBER ELECTIONS.
ALL COMMUNITY LEADERS AND OTHERS WHO RECEIVE THIS, PLEASE PASS ON TO ALL YOUR RESIDENTS AND FRIENDS. IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE IN REPRESENTATION, THEY HAVE PROVEN THEY CANNOT HANDLE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF REPRESENTING OR HELPING MONROE TWP FIGHT FOR OUR FAIR SHARE IN REGULAR STATE EDUCATION AID AS WELL AS THE SDA HELP IN PAYING MOST OF THE COSTS OF THE EXPANSION AND THE NEW SCHOOLS CONSTRUCTION! CONTACT OTHERS LIVING IN THE 14th DISTRICT, I AM SURE THESE OTHER TOWNS ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS IN NON-REPRESENTATION BY OUR PRESENT THREE ELECTED OFFICIALS. REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER.

Road Rally – Save the date – August 20

The Regency Car Club will be holding their annual road rally on Sunday, August 20. You and your navigator will take a scenic drive through the back roads of New Jersey while looking for clues to many interesting questions.

The rally will conclude at the clubhouse with a delicious lunch by Sir Ives Catering.

The cost for driver and navigator is $45. This popular event fills up quickly, so send an email to RegencyCarClub@gmail.com for entry information.

The next meeting of the Regency Car Club is Monday, July 10 at 7:30pm in the Tennis Pavilion.

Non-members are welcome to join us.

Guess What?  Play for P.I.N.K. is back!

Over the past few years, the Women’s Golf League has sponsored Play for P.I.N.K. activities.  Residents of our generous community, while having a very good time participating in these activities, raised more than $60,000 to support Breast Cancer Research.  Let’s do it again!  Let’s Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New Technology and Knowledge) and help eliminate this disease.

There is going to be a Play for Pink Luncheon (with raffles) on Wednesday, October 18, so save the date!  Be on the lookout for news of other Play for Pink activities that will occur during the month of October 2017 — details to follow…

“Do not leave packages or donations outside your front door!”

A MESSAGE FROM A REGENCY RESIDENT:

I have often donated to Vietnam Vets of America. I schedule a pickup & leave a marked VVA donation at my front door. A VVA truck driver takes my donation and leaves in its place a receipt along with a large empty plastic bag for my next donation…until yesterday. Yesterday someone took my clothing donation out of my VVA donation bag. I found a ripped donation bag that was empty and no receipt. Sorry to say, VVA did not receive my donation. It is obvious the Regency community with no guardhouse is not as secure as it was in the past. I will no longer leave anything of value outside my home, either for my neighbors or VVA

You Can Visit Cuba With The Regency Dining Club Ethnic-Restaurant-Eat-Around And You Don’t Even Have To Pack A Bag!

By Marty Feldman

The Regency EREA Club has set a dinner for Sunday, July 23 at a local Cuban restaurant. This next outing will provide a great chance to sample the ethnic afro-latin-caribbean cuisine of this country. Not spicy hot, but savory; unique and flavorful representing the multi-cultural influences of those groups that came to this island nation.

Think of sitting and sipping a Mojito or Cuba Libre( which you can bring yourself; the restaurant is BYO) and nibbling on plantain chips with a hot blooded mambo rhythm playing in the background, waiting for your food to arrive. Or you can step up to the conga drums and play for the group if you can. In any event the date is set, the menu is set and a good time is guaranteed.

For additional information call me. As always, first come, first served reserving your space.

TWO TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR ON TOUR FEET AUGUST 20TH.

I have 2 orchestra tickets to On Your Feet for August 20 matinee. The price is $99 a ticket. It is negotiable
