MORE ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS FROM MARK KLEIN
I just found out as an example. The first grade classes were about 12 to 14 per class, is now 26 per class and growing, with only one teacher in the classroom.
Our district Superintendent, our district Business Administrator, The Board of Education President and Vice President, Mayor Tamburro and Senator Greenstein met with then State Commissioner Hespe concerning our under-funding and the over-crowded classrooms. According to Mike Gorski our school districts Business Administrator, Hespe didn’t care and was in a hurry to leave the meeting and would not do anything to help our district. This was before Freehold Boro met with Hespe and Senator Beck.
Now remember an e-mail I sent out in the past, which was a quote from Hespe concerning the over-crowding of the Freehold Boro’s Schools, reported in the Home News Tribune. I quote; ” Because Freehold Boro has 1,700 students and 400 over capacity, all their schools must be expanded because of the influx of children of illegal aliens”. He continues; stating that “he cannot see putting the additional tax burden on the already overtaxed residents of Freehold Boro, and that the children cannot receive a Thorough and Efficient education as stated in the State Constitution, in overcrowded schools and classrooms. So he awarded them a grant of $33 million to pay for the expansions”. This was set up with the help of State Senator Jennifer Beck who represents their district.
Last year our district had over 6,500 students over 1,000 over-capacity, growing by over 250 new students per year and Hespe didn’t care. Our well overtaxed residents, our children in very overcrowded schools and classrooms, meant nothing to Hespe. What has Senator Greenstein, and Assemblymen Benson and DeAngelo done for us , NOTHING!
That is why we must vote the three out of office and replace them with Ileana Schirmer for State Senator, and Kristian Stout and Steve Uccio for State Assemblymen. I have met the three on at least three occasions and was very impressed by Ms. Schirmer who is a fighter and would be a great leader for Stout and Uccio, as well as a fighter for all the Residents of Monroe Twp. That is why it is so important for your residents to have the opportunity to meet them.
I have been trying to get a candidates meeting at Regency and last night I spoke to the head of our Election Committee who has run Candidate meetings in the past. He told me “that Greenstein, Benson and DeAngelo would not come to our meeting”. What are they afraid of? The fact that in the last 8 to 10 years they have done nothing to help our school district get their fair share in State funding which I truly believe should be at least $40 to $45 million a year in State Aid, based on other districts with over 5,000 students. That would lead to a very large reduction in our property taxes.
Greenstein,Benson and DeAngelo quickly voted for the $.23 per gallon increase in our gas tax, which would negatively effect our Senior’s living on fixed incomes as well as the rest of us. We are already overtaxed, with younger residents working multiple jobs to continue to live in Monroe Twp.
I am also sending my response out to other communities like yours who have joined me in the fight for fair funding for our School District. Please pass this information out to ALL your residents and I ask that you all hold Candidate meetings inviting all six candidates and if Senator Greenstein and Assemblymen Benson and DeAngelo refuse to come, let it be just Ms.Schirmer and Mr. Stout and Mr. Uccio.
Thank you for all your help, time is running short.

ILEANA SCHIRMER RUNNING AGAINST SENATOR LINDA GREESTEIN
To All,
Attached is an invitation for a fundraiser we are holding for Ileana Schirmer who is running against State Senator Linda Greenstein in November. As I have said before she is a dynamic hard working very successful person who could really help Monroe Twp. Residents in Trenton. We have had enough of Senator Greenstein who has been in office for 17 years and has done almost nothing for us and our school district. This is an opportune time to meet her and speak with her. I promise you will love her and want Ileana to represent us in Trenton. I ask you all to please attend, it will be well worth your time. It is on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at Antonio’s Restaurant 337 Applegarth Road, Monroe Twp.
I ask that the Community Leaders please send out to all your residents as well as your friends in other towns in the 14th Legislative district.
Let’s get Ileana Schirmer elected as our new State Senator!
Thanks,
Mark Klein
(EMAILER’S NOTE: YES I AM BEING POLITICAL IN MY EMAILS. I RECEIVED PLENTY OF EMAILS DEALING WITH WHAT OUR CURRENT LEGISLATORS HAVE DONE TO OBTAIN MORE STATE AID FOR EDUCATION FOR MONROE TOWNSHIP (NOTHING). EVEN THOUGH A FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS WILL BE GIVEN TO US THIS YEAR, THIS IS JUST A “SPIT” IN THE OCEAN. WE NEED CHANGE!)
THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF EMAILING
WOW! I’VE ALMOST REACHED 15 YEARS OF EMAILING. NO WONDER WHY MY FINGER TIPS ARE NUMB.
MANY YEARS AGO I USED A BLOG TO SEND OUT MY EMAILS. SO I WAS LOOKING AT SOME OF MY “CRAZY EMAILS” AND DECIDED THAT I SHARE IT WITH YOUR.
I AM ALWAYS BEING TEASED ABOUT MY GOLF GAME SO I MADE UP “THE RON POST RULES OF GOLF”. THE GUYS KNOW I JUST USE THREE CLUBS (DRIVER, PUTTER AND 4 HYBRID). YES, I CAN PUTT A BALL WITH MY PUTTER AT LEAST 40 YARDS (THIS IS TRUE).
SO HERE ARE MY RULES:
1. If you slice a ball and it goes into the woods, you really didn’t mean to do it so just put your ball in the middle of the fairway at a point where you want it to be.
2. If your ball goes in the water, but you forgot your swim suit, we understand. Forgetfulness is a senior problem so keep hitting balls until you get one that doesn’t go into the water. However, if you jump into the water with no clothes on, you are penalized 1 stroke.
3. If you hit into a sand trap but forgot your pail and shovel, just take the ball out without a penalty.
4. If you forget where you left your golf cart, you just have 5 minutes to look for it. After 5 minutes, you must call for another golf cart and drop it where you thought you left it. (BY THE WAY, THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SOMEONE)
5. If you are playing golf during the month of your birthday, you get 1 “free” shot without scoring. If your birthday falls out on the day you play golf, you must blow out all the candles on your cake and if you do it with one blow, then you cheat as much as you want.
6. If you lose a golf ball but find it the following week, you can deduct a stroke.
7. The “I didn’t mean to do that” rule applies to all bad shots. Just keep hitting golf balls without counting the strokes until you hit a shot that you can yell out, “THIS IS THE SHOT I WANTED TO DO!”.
8. The bird rule – if a bird goes, TWEET, TWEET, TWEET, while you are swinging, you may swing again without a penalty provided you turn to all the golfers and you say to them “I’M TAKING THE TWEET RULE SHOT.”
9. The tree rule – since you are too old to move the tree, just move the ball without a penalty.
10. The alligator rule (Florida residents only) – if you are 50 yards near the water and you claim you can’t find the ball, you may ask for the ALLIGATOR RULE to go into effect – which is basically that an alligator ate your ball – again, no penalty.
11. The final score rule – you can take 10 strokes off your final score and just say that you only took math up to the third grade. There is one golfer that uses the 10% deduction rule. If he shoots 100 he is allowed to take 10% off but unfortunately this golfer, after taking 10$ off, adds it to the 100 and now shoots 110. Yes, this has happened but it was related to paying a bill in a restaurant. This is called the “DUMB, DE DUMB DUMB RULE”.

LETS TALK TURKEY 2017
While still enjoying the last days of summer, the Regency Culture Club is looking ahead to fall. We are gearing up for our annual Ten for Turkey Drive. As the holidays draw near, turkeys will be absent from many households.
The Regency Culture Club supports our community by assisting the Monroe Township Office on Aging Holiday Food Basket Drive. We are once again turning to our friends and neighbors and requesting each household makes a minimum donation of $10.00 so that we can put a turkey on the table to complete the holiday picture for many township families.
One turkey goes a long way in providing a number of meals. And the bones, oh those bones make a great soup.
Your generosity over the past 13 years that we have been collecting Ten for Turkeys is much appreciated. Your support is urgently needed once again. Help make a difference in the lives of our township neighbors in need.
