RENAMING MY WEBSITE
In order not to confuse anyone regarding that my emailing is “private” and not associated with any HOA, my website will be called EMAILER MESSAGES.
However, to get to my site it will still remain as regencyemailer.com. It cannot be changed since it requires my paying for another domain name. So to get to my site you would have to go to
Fortunately it doesn’t say REGENCY AT MONROE. Regency is just a generic name.
NO MORE MAILCHIMP EMAILS
As you know Mailchimp was a free service but it presented many problems. So after reviewing many other email services, I think GoDaddy will now be my one and only email service. GoDaddy, unfortunately is a pay as you go type service so I need to set up some “rules” regarding my emails
GoDaddy provides different levels of emailing and as you climb the “level tree” you pay more for each new level. I believe I should be able to stay with the level I am in because it provides me with room to have over 2000 email addresses (I have over 1400) and it also allows me to send out about 25,000 emails a month and so far I am at a level between 15,000 and 20,000 a month.
The only problems relate to messages that require an immediate sendout. These are the messages we all don’t like to receive. Unfortunately it may encompass sending out maybe 2-3 additions to the original email. With these types of emails, if I go over my max. I will pay for the next level.
We then have emails dealing with the selling of tickets. As you know, this has increased dramatically as we have grown dramatically. Hopefully if the date of the show is longer than one week, it can go into my Saturday emails. If a resident sends me an email 2 or 3 days prior to the show, it will be sent out ONLY if my level of emails is not approaching my maximum. I truly understand wanting to sell costly tickets and I will do my best to send out your message.
So today, you will begin receiving one email and not two. It will come from GoDaddy
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT VETERANS EXEMPTIONS
One of our residents sent me the following email. It might be repetitive regarding what I had already sent out but saving money is what it is all about.
As you may remember I volunteer as a AARP Tax Aide. We recently had a presentation from the NJ Tax people regarding changes for our 2017 NJ taxes. A change that will affect many of our residents is a new exemption for honorably discharged veterans. Basically, if you are a vet you will get an additional $3000 exemption on your NJ tax return. I have attached a description of the program and the requirements the tax payer must follow in order to take the exemption. This is the paper I received from NJ at the presentation.
Also, as a reminder the tax exempt portion of pensions and IRAs and such is up this year from $20,000 to $40,000.
